I qualified from Manchester medical school in 2005. I completed foundation training and then GP training with Pennine Acute Hospitals Trust, covering a range of specialities in the hospital for 4 years, including, paediatrics, general surgery, general medicine with palliative care, ENT, A&E, obstetrics and gynaecology. I worked as a GP Partner in Bury from 2010 to 2022 and joined Waterfoot Practice in April 2022. I have an interest in women’s health, sexual health and contraception, including fitting / removing coils and implants.

Hi, I'm Victoria, a Physician Associate (PA). You can book directly in to speak with me or other PAs in any Rossendale practice, rather than going through a GP. We can help with most new complaints such as infections, new pains or headaches, rashes, allergies or changes to your bowels, water works, appetite or weight. Most PA’s like myself studied an undergraduate degree for 3 years in a bioscience subject. For myself I studied biology. Then I did 2 years postgraduate masters course in Physician Associate studies. I have been qualified and working in general practice as a PA for 3 years now. The NHS website can provide you with good advice if you're unsure whether you need to speak to someone.

I qualified as a registered nurse in 2001 and have worked within secondary care for a number of specialties, including gastroenterology, respiratory and rehabilitation. I have also worked with the University of Central Lancashire as a Practice Education Facilitator, supporting the student nurses on their practical placements. I moved to work in the community with the intensive home support service in 2018, managing acute exacerbations of chronic conditions and actively preventing inappropriate hospital admission and enabling safe early discharge. This led to a move to primary care in 2020 when I joined Waterfoot Medical Practice. I completed my Masters level in Advanced Clinical Practice in 2021 and have undertaken extended education into care of paediatric minor illness.

I Qualified with an Adult Nursing Diploma at University of Central Lancashire in 2012, my first post was district nursing which I did for 4 years and then went on to do IV antibiotics in the community. In 2016 I began my role of being a Practice nurse and started working here at Waterfoot in December 2017. I have qualifications in chronic disease management such as Diabetes, Asthma/COPD, Spirometry and Coronary Heart Disease primary care management. I have trained in contraceptive/sexual health management and smear sampling. I completed nurse mentorship diploma in 2014 and short degree course in practice nursing in 2017.

Hi, I’m Anna Whiteoak, I am an Associate Psychological Practitioner, working across GP Practices in Rossendale East and Ilex View in Rawtenstall. I provide mental health support through teaching psychological approaches and skills to support emotional well-being and promote good mental health. I provide brief psychological interventions at your GP practice, through four 1-1 sessions plus a follow up session 6 weeks later.

She has over 20 years’ experience of working in senior management positions within the NHS, having previously worked for Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group as a Senior Business Partner along with secondments to the National Cancer Vanguard and the National Primary Care Development Team. Gill is responsible for leading the practices strategic development and overseeing the day to day running of the practice.
